Another productive day down in Wallace.
Took down another wall and all the gyproc from the ocean facing wall, exposing a mass of pink insulation.
We hired a local boy named Christopher to help with some of the lifting and cleaning and it made new work possible, such as carrying a lead lined fridge up a steep set of stairs. We managed to take up the carpet and underlay as well and will make some final decisions on a floor plan tomorrow. This will determine the fate of the last non – load bearing wall, which was Norma’s room.
Norma was Paula’s grandmother, who passed away today at the age of ninety-four years years. She did so right about the time I was contemplating taking the wall to her room out. I for one will miss her as she was always kind to me. She was a smart, charming, and dignified lady. Good-bye Norma.
