I feel incredibly blessed to be working at HTHS.  I feel like I belong there after a career of feeling like I have been swimming upstream, I find I am amazed constantly at the warmth, acceptance, humour and sense of togetherness that is at the heart of the experience of being there.

Today I witnessed a heart wrenching and humbling presentation that taught me (again) that our enemies can be our teachers, that we are all in this together, that we are more similar than dissimilar, that love is more powerful than fear, that humility trumps pride, and that maybe I was brought to this place so that I could know that I had a place.
