I was fortunate enough to be witness to the social interaction of returning Canada Geese today as two geese lit late upon the ice at the Sackville Waterfowl Park, only to be challenged by an incumbent goose who clearly wished them gone.  The interlopers were twice chased away until they were at a sufficient distance.  Perhaps they had joined the wrong gaggle.
