February 27th

Precious moments are those spent in a grocery store cafeteria, on a work day, with my sweetie.   We eat a boat shaped tray of sushi.  My first piece has too much wasabi and it feels as though my brain will dissolve into nuclear fire momentarily.  It does not.  There is salad as well.

Over her shoulder, unbeknownst to her, sits a puffy man at the next table.   He looks like a cross between Rodney Dangerfield and  Jabba the Hut.   And Arnold Schwarzenegger when he almost explodes on the surface of Mars in Total Recall.  His eyes are bloodshot and he looks surprised and bewildered when he looks around.   I want to stare but I cannot.   It reminds of the old man who sat up in his car  after the accident.  He looked at us with curiously unsure and shocked blue eyes.  As he did so, his eyes pooled with blood.   This man looks as though his blood pressure is off the charts.

I am not grateful for this, but it is curious, and I am grateful for my curiosity.

Paula models her new purchases, and I am grateful for this.

Blaine and I catch up on stuff, and I am grateful for this.

Puppy plays hide and seek – and it lifts my heart.
